My First Opera!
Commissioned by Opera Queensland for Brisbane Festival 2022, THE CALL is an opera in 1 act based on a beautiful true story by American author Auburn Sheaffer. Ali McGregor and her Fluxus team brought me the idea a few years back, with the incomparable Kate Miller-Heidke and Kier Nuttall writing the libretto, and it’s finally coming to life in September!
